Since 1917, WorkSafeBC has helped to improve the health and safety of British Columbians in the workplace by building a sustainable no-fault insurance system that supports both workers and employers now and for generations to come.
Working closely with our employer and industry partners, we promote a workplace culture of health and safety. We provide support for injured workers that facilitates their recovery and safe return to work. We continue to work toward our vision of a province free from workplace injury, disease, and death.
WorkSafeBC issues OHS Guidelines to help with the application and interpretation of sections of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and the OHS provisions of the Workers Compensation Act. OHS Guidelines are not intended to provide exclusive interpretations, but to assist with compliance. Many sections of the Act and the Regulation have associated guidelines.
